Keanu Reeves won a young fan's (and ours) heart when he agreed to play a game of catch with him.
The Canadian actor and musician, who was recently in Houston for a concert with his band Dogstar, fulfilled 9-year-old Elijah's request and took out a few minutes to throw a football with him before going on stage, KHOU 11 reported.
'Fishing' for celebrities
Elijah's grandmother Annette Cruz told KHOU 11 that she enjoys "fishing" for celebrities and being where they are.
Cruz, who has reportedly met over 100 celebrities, including Kevin Hart and Post Malone, told the local media outlet celebrity spotting is like fishing for her.
When Reeves was in town for his concert, she decided to go "fishing" again and see if she could get ahold of the "Matrix" actor. However, this time her grandsons joined her so they could get an autograph from Reeves.
The trio waited outside the House of Blues in Houston for the star and surprisingly failed to recognize him at first.
“He like came out, and I didn’t expect his hair to be like a little white," said Elijah's older brother, Caleb told KHOU 11. "I knew his hair was long, but I didn’t expect it to be white."

'Catch'
Once they spotted the actor, they went up to him and got their autographs and signatures. After, that, Elijah said that he asked Reeves if he would play a game of catch with him.
“I asked him the first time and he kind of mumbled something," Elijah told KHOU 11. "But I didn’t hear him, so I asked him again and he said, 'Yeah come on let's go.'"
The two played a game of catch with Elijah's football till the young fan dropped a pass.
Those 30 seconds were the best moments of Elijah's life.
“The top moment," Elijah told KHOU 11. “I was really nervous because I was playing catch with a famous superstar."
Elijah plans to keep the football with which he played "forever and ever".
The two brothers also posed for a selfie with Reeves.
“I was surprised he did it, and then he said, 'Hey, he’s got a great spiral'," the boys' grandmother told the local media outlet. "I said, 'That’s a day he’s always going to remember'."
Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees
Reeves, 58, is currently on the "Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees" tour with his band Dogstar, to promote their new album of the same name. The album is Dogstar's third studio album and comes after a hiatus of more than 20 years.
The Southern California rock band, that formed in 1991, also includes guitarist and vocalist Bret Domrose and drummer Robert Mailhouse. Reeves is the band's bassist.
